StudentHello! My son went in to the Optometrist last week for his routine eye exam. He was struggling with his glasses, so we knew he needed a new prescription. After the exam, the doctor compared his last exam (a year ago) to this one, and said his eyes have significantly gotten worse in the last year. He was very concerned that his eyes are degenerating much quicker than they should, especially because of his age (he is 10). I have learned so much about so many herbs, but have never read anything about eye health. Any thoughts? They are prescribing eye drops (basically a diluted solution of what they use to dilate the eyes) to let his eyes rest during the night.

Homestead InstructorSure sorry to hear that. There are some herbs that support eye structures and eye help. I have a formula that I use on folks and critters. I don’t know if it will help your son but I’d sure be doing it on my kid if he had that trouble. It’s taken internally.

StudentHI,I’m wondering if you could help with my friend’s problem. She is about 4 months pregnant and has had a breast infection for 3 months now. She also had surgery to remove a very large blood clot in December. (She has not had the vaccine.). The doctors are very puzzled by her symptoms and diagnosed mastitis, and several rounds of antibiotics have not healed the infection. She has tried the cabbage leaf with no result. Do you have any ideas of an herbal way to address this?

Homestead InstructorI have a formula called Immunity Pregnant that can help with infections in pregnant ladies. She can also take lots of Echinacea.
Look in the Infectious Disease Formulas lesson to find the formula.

StudentI have read that too much screen time on a phone , etc . effects eyesight in a negative way. Also a diet of real food and pure water can have a renewing effect on anyone at any age and is pretty easy to do. Some of my grandchildren that had a lot of screen time had to get glasses at a young age.

StudentRelaxing the ciliary muscle is key — close-up focus causes it to spasm but there are no nerves to scream at you. I highly recommend checking out endmyopia.org. This is a free site by a man who reversed his myopia and wants to help others. The techniques described cut my glasses “prescription” in half so far. I’m still a work in progress. 🙂 He has a youtube channel as well.
