Would hawthorn berries be safe to give to an older dog with congestive heart failure? The dog has labored breathing. The vet has prescribed meds but I was wondering if there is anything herbal that can help.

The meds are the best course but hawthorn is a good supplement and won’t interfere.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
