Hi all, I have a friend who has a nasty case of lichen planus and is asking if it can be treated with herbs. Has anyone had success treating it with herbal remedies? I would appreciate any advice please.

Lichen planus is an autoimmune disease. Outbreaks are often self-limiting but they can be uncomfortable.

Lotions with marshmallow and chickweed can help. Addressing the autoimmune issues cna help too. Have a look at the Immune System III lesson.

There is a lotion formula here called Save Yer Skin that’s nice.

THere are lotion kits here: https://homegrownherbalist.net/product/essential-lotion-kit/

Either the Save Yer Skin or Itchaway would be good choices.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
