Goats can consume small amounts of pine needles without any harm but the needles are not a nutrient-rich food source. They can be harmful and cause digestive issues and abortions if they eat too much. As long as they have other food resources, the goats won’t preferentially eat the pine.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
Really? I didn’t know pine was not too good for them. Mine LOVE it and will totally choose a pine tree over a full manger of wonderful, expensive alfalfa everyday. I try not to give them too much at once cause it can make the milk taste off. I thought maybe they were getting extra minerals or something from it that they were not getting from the alfalfa.
