I have seen Doc say that he would press a tincture after two weeks, but also that he would wait until he needs the jar. I understand they can wait to be pressed out as long as possible for the most part. But what is the soonest one can be pressed and have all the good stuff extracted from the plant material? I have a few that are just over the two week mark and would love to press them for my husband who is currently sick, he would rather take a tincture than drink a tea :/ Thanks

I personally would wait longer, 8-12 weeks, but if someone was sick in my family I’d take a bit out for them to use right now and let the remainder keep steeping.

I honestly think most stuff is as extracted as it’s going to get within a week as long as a powdered form was used. Chunkier herb material would take longer.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
