When weeding one of my garden beds, I noticed and photographed an interesting weed. A phone app identified it as Plantago virginica, and the description matched my image—a small, furry Plantago. My question: Does Plantago virginica have the same medicinal properties as Plantago major?
I’d guess there are medicinal similarities and I know it’s safe because edible plant guys eat it. That said, there’s almost no research or history on it so I’d stick with Plantago major or P. lanceolata for medicinal use as we know much better what they do.
