As you may recall, I wrote an article some time ago about a study in which herbal supplements were randomly purchased from store shelves and DNA tested to evaluate their actual plant content. In that study, 1/3 of the plants contained none of the herb on the label.

Here’s the article:

Well now the Attorney General of the State of New York is on going after Wal-Mart, Walgreens, GNC, Target and other major retailers.

Why?

Because his DNA testing showed that 80% of the herb supplements on their shelves contained absolutely NONE of the herbs listed on the labels.

Wal-Mart, always anxious to out-do its competitors, had a rating of only 4%.

That’s right, 96% of the herbal products you can buy at Wal-Mart contained none of the herbs listed on the label.

Nice.

Again we see the critical need to learn to grow or find our own medicine. We live in a world of thieves and liars. These are big corporations with big reputations to protect and this is the level of concern they have for the well being of their customers. My advice, learn to take care of yourselves. Apparently no one else is going to.
