        Does anyone make kefir? I’m thinking I would like to start making some again, but of course I need some grains. Does anyone have some extra to share with me? The only catch is, whatever grains I get must never have come in contact with wheat or wheat products, as I am severely allergic to wheat, and also have a gluten sensitivity. I would be happy to pay for postage, or if you live in the Twin Falls area I could pick them up in person. Thanks

          We used to have some water kefir grains. Milk kefir too. Not sure if we still do. Wife says we have water ones.

            Hmm… I’ve never tried water kefir, only milk. What’s it like?

              If I remember correctly (been a LONG time now) it sweetened the water some. That might have been from something we added. Not as tasty as the milk kefir though. I don’t remember the growth of the grains as much either. Like I said, been a LONG time since we messed with them.
