Hi all! I’m new to the forum and have heard that natural home remedies & herbs are good. Well, here I am looking for food that I should have for my eyes. I have weak eyesight and have got specs. I think should concentrate more on my diet so was looking for food that is best for eyes. Looking forward for your suggestions. Thanks in advance. 🙄

I have recently been looking into this. Bilberry is supposed to be good. Any variety dark fruits or vegetables too. Gingko is supposed to help. Eyebright is overrated.

What I read is that you take care of your liver health first. Give it foods & herbs that will repair and strengthen it, making it more able to do its job.

You need herbs that will open capillaries and help circulation late blood to extremities, especially to the brain, as well.

Right now, I am making a tincture of gingko, gotu kola, rosemary & peppermint. This is supposed to help the brain function better, and from what I read, should help my eyes to some extent then as well.

I am still learning what I can do. What I have mentioned here is in no way exhaustive, but is a start.

Laurie pretty much nailed it. Foods high in betacarotene are good as well.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Food good for eyes are Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and collards.

Salmon, tuna, and other oily fish.

Eggs, nuts, beans, and other nonmeat protein sources.

Oranges and other citrus fruits or juices.

                Oysters and pork. :blob: :flapper:
