They are constantly noting that a tiny bump draws blood. Sometimes the bump bleeds more than they like. Questions: Are they any contraindications for topical yarrow in these situations? Would a tincture be best? How about a comfrey-yarrow salve or tincture? Also, would arnica help their big ole bruises? Thanks, Martha May 31, 2017 at 2:40 PM #35856 Dr. Patrick JonesHomestead Instructor I wouldn’t recommend internal yarrow on a person using blood-thinning medications. Topical yarrow should be fine. Arnica may help the bruising somewhat but the real problem is internal bleeding from the blood thinners every time they bump themselves. Doc Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
