I drank lemon balm tea. Nice. Yum.

        1. Does it lower blood pressure?

        2. How long do the effects last?

I’m trying to determine if that was what made my BP get lower and it lasted over 12 hours. 🙁

I was kinda dizzy or light-headed.

If so, I have to rethink using lemon balm as tea for me.

I’ve never heard of lemon balm dropping bp so much as to cause dizziness, nor has it ever done so to me. What are some other things that could have caused it? Are you currently taking any blood pressure medication? Lisinopril is known to cause severe drops in blood pressure, enough to cause renal failure. Vaso-vagal response is also a very common cause of sudden drops in pressure and fainting, but it doesn’t usually last more than a few minutes.

          I hope you’re feeling better!

Herbs can interact with pharmaceuticals. If you’re taking medications (particularly BP medications) you need to be careful with combining them with herbs. If you don’t want to discuss your meds on a public forum, feel free to send me an email.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

I have determined that my dizziness was due to an inner ear situation. All good now.

              Thanks, y’all.

Ah! Yep, that would do it! I’m glad you got it sorted. 🙂
