        Hi there,

I have lots of fantastic essential oils (myrrh, frankincense, oregano, thyme, lavender, chamomille….. and on and on….) and I wonder if I can use these oils, duely diluted in other oil or in honey for example, to cure the same disease as the raw plant or the tincture?

Do you have a dose for essential oils? Can they be ingested?

My opinion is that the whole plant, even if the essential oil is the primary actor, is superior to essential oils for most things. Tincture extractions, I have learned, are very powerful. Possibly even better than eating the plant itself.

If you need the specific action of an essential oil it is likely a bit better or maybe faster acting. Essential oils are great for aromatherapy.

I actually almost never use essential oils and am probably not the most authoritative source.

I think tinctures or other herbal preparations are better for internal use.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
