. really dear Doc gave me that idea as i tried take seeds from good local trees before and didnt make it.. its the second time i take branch from that publik lemon tree. the first one was shorter, i had also grinded green ypoung parts and leaves, put it in water and soaked the branch.. then i transfered it to pot big pot on roof, put those water inn, the pot is with holes on bottom, and i watered it… the leaves og it had already turned dry, i dont know if it will grow roots, the first branch i tried and is in pot i picked some weeks ago.. then i picked from huge great apple tree, last thursday, it has no leaves in winter, a 2 brances, put them in such waters till today…tried more time in water, today i trasnsfered to pot with soil , no roots are seen. hope they can make it to be trees, please!

Some plants will root like that and some wont.

Sometimes putting the cutting into potting soil after covering the cut with rooting hormone works too.

              the lemon cuttings didnt go

the apple cuttings produced flowers and leaves in the spring… beautifyl flowers but there were aparently no bees on the roof, they seem to produced no roots

after that after the flowers died they seemed to stop

i still water them but they didnt move since

anyway thanks to you from the local apple seeds went better and i have 3 young plants doing good started at spring

and the city planted many young lemons around for publik i help water

I’ve been using raw honey as a rooting hormone. Seems to work well. But…it has to be raw.
