Our 18 month old dog loves going with us wherever we go and hates being left home. However, winters here are very dark and she gets very nervous in the car with the lights and reflections from all the signs and such. She is fine anywhere else and loves when we get where we are going, but she pants, whines, and barks while we are driving. Her first winter she got so scared she would shake and ended up refusing to get in car so had to be left home.
Is there anything we can give her before car rides to calm her or would we need to give it daily? We make a lot of short trips and occasional longer ones. The longer the ride the more anxious she gets.
Thank you in advance for any help.
