      pristine

I have a 15 year old daughter that had two good sized moles on her neck, a friend told her to do the black salve on them and they would go away. She used some old black salve that was kind of dried out. The moles only came part way out. So she got some new salve and did it again. The moles came out but now she has two large pink raised spots on her neck and has been putting BF&C salve on them, pine gum salve and even castor oil sometimes. She is very self conscious about them and asked me to see if you had any suggestions to help her get the pink spots to go down. One is about 1/2 inch long, the other is about 3/8 inch long. Her friend did a mole on her forehead right at the hairline and it worked out fine so we don’t know what happened with my daughters. So would you have any remedies or suggestions of what we can do to help her? It’s been about 5 months since she did the black salve

I’m not a fan of black salves. They can be very destructive and irritating to tissue.

If you have a hangy-doo and it isn’t the apocalypse, have a dermatologist take it off with some liquid nitrogen or a scalpel.

My guess is that the black salve caused a sloughing of the tissue which was then replaced by granulation tissue.

Hopefully, with time, the difference in appearance will decrease. I know of nothing herbal that will do it.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
