I watched Doc Jones’s video on Pine Pollen, and read the monograph in the school.  I have gathered some pine pollen bunches, and I have them in a jar.  I can’t find the ratio of plant material to alcohol.  Doc Jones said 60-70% alcohol, but I am not sure how much, especially because there will be some woody parts in the tincture.  Any ideas?

Not sure if this helps or not since this is my first attempt, but I sifted my pollen to remove the needles and woody parts. I managed to collect 8 grams in “powder” form after sifting it. My current understanding is to use a 1:5 ratio of pollen to alcohol, so added 40 grams of 75.5% stuff (hopefully that’s not too strong). I’ll post how it turns out in a few weeks (fingers crossed!) :-). Good luck with yours!

I’m excited to hear if anyone else gives it a try and how they did it!

Yup. Chris is right. 1:5 ratio by weight. So, 10 grams of herb to 50 grams of booze.
