StudentWe taking care my daughters dog (permanently it looks like). He has developed a stuffy sounding breathing , he sound gargling and breaths through his mouth most of the time. and is sneezing A LOT! He’s nose is a wet normal, no thick or colored mucus. Lungs are clear and sound good. He eats fines, plays and sleeps. We had our vet check him out he put him on steroids they cleared it up. Now off for 2weeks and he sound terrible again. Is there something herbal we can do for him. Vet said no antihistamines, or decongestants. That it appears to be more inflammatory. Is there anything I can  do for him he sounds miserable to me.

StudentPoor dog does sound miserable! If I understand correctly what Doc has explained throughout this course, dog allergy symptoms are usually manifested by having ear trouble and itchy feet.
When I had an animal with an inflamed airway, I gave him turmeric for the inflammation which he responded well to. From my learning in this course, it sounds like frankincense and yucca are also anti-inflammatory I think. It also helped when he breathed lavender and peppermint essential oils. It seemed to relax and de-congest the airway. And if you had some immune-boosting herbs on hand, maybe that could help his body as well. I’ll be curious to hear what Doc thinks caused this condition though! I feel bad for your dog but at least it sounds like he is still enjoying eating and playing!

Homestead InstructorThe joint support formula is a good anti-inflammatory blend. I’d look at the histamine formula too.
You might also ask your vet about getting that nose scoped and make sure there isn’t a foreign body or tumor or something in the nose.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
