My 7 week old breastfeeding baby appears to have a problem with constipation. He has a bowel movement about every other day and is pretty fussy because of it. Can he be given anything directly or taken by me and passed through the milk?

We had the same problem with our little guy, his regular pooping schedule was like every other day or 2 but it didn’t seem to bother him, it just bothered us when he finally went and we had to clean everything! Eventually it resolved itself and he is regular now, but if it is bothering your little boy I would try drinking a tea with catnip in it. It is reported that the catnip can pass through the mothers milk and into the baby and help with digestion. Also, I would recommend getting those Windi Gas Passers from Frida off Amazon. They are weird, but they worked great when we had to use them

I found with my youngest that a little lymphatic massage on his belly helped a great deal. I didn’t take anything herbalwise, so not sure this is much help..
