StudentThis is Bob & Rusty Taylor. We live in Central, UT (not central UT). We are 35 minutes north of St. George and 1700 feet higher, therefore cooler than St. George. Rusty took the Dr. Christopher courses back in the 1990s but has been using herbs since 1974 when she started working in an herb shop in Provo, UT. Bob decided that he wanted to learn more about herbs, himself, so he signed up for Doc Jone’s course. Now both of us are doing it together. Rusty likes Doc’s approach to a lot of things and is always willing to learn from other herbalists. Bob has benefited from her ministrations, but wants to learn also.
We had 2.5 acres up in Poulsbo, WA, where we lived for 27 years and raised our boys up there. We retired to So. UT because WA is a VERY expensive place to live. Now we have a scant 1/3 acre but it is filled with fruit trees, berry bushes, grape vines, elderberries, vegetables, herbs and some flowers.
We are glad to be here and learn from Doc and others and willing to share our experience.

StudentHi, bob. I believe we used to belong to the same email group about food storage and such (back when email groups were a thing). I recognize your lower case name. 😉 I’m replying to you because I’m supposed to comment on someone’s post as part of the introductory materials in the herbalist course. I’m not really comfortable with just going through th emotions to say that I did, but I thought you’d be a safe person to reply to. Have a fabulous day!
