StudentHello, I’m from Central Florida also. I live in Eustis. It would be great to be able to connect with others who are growing and foraging their own medicinal plants in the area.

Dr. Patrick Jones
Homestead InstructorWe have a fair number of Floridians. It’s really great to have local connections. Maybe you guys can develop an herbal alligator repellant. :0)

StudentAnother Central Floridian (Cypress Gardens) here! Just getting started with this herbal journey. I even have one of my daughters, a mother of two grown children (yes I am a vintage individual & proud of it too) coming along. Who knows, maybe we all can get together for discussion & to go foraging one day. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

StudentGreat idea Dawn 🙂 It would be nice to be able to share some of the medicinal plants that are indigenous to our area, like Biden’s Alba. I live in North Central Florida, Clay County. Right now I’m busy collecting chickweed and biden’s for tinctures and salves. My husband, who was a huge skeptic is a believer now. He has confiscated all the chickweed and plantain salve I made last summer and I have to beg him to use some of it. The chickweed works great for ant bites, btw. Has anyone had luck trying to grow comfrey here? I started some from seed last year but they died 🙁
