Hi! Does anyone know how I might be able to treat pink eye in cattle? I have a 7 month old calf with it.

I always use colloidal silver for that. Others have posted about pink eye problems so I would suggest using the search feature in the forums to look for other discussion threads on this topic. Some people were using herbal teas with good success I believe.

You get the long strand chewing tobacco and put a little in a bowl (or use a morter and pestel.) Add a little water and squish it as you would any poultice. Strain the liquid through a handkerchief or coffee filter and drop it or squirt it in the eye. The calf won’t like it for a few seconds, but within a week or two the pink eye goes away. If it is a severe case, do it again in a few days to a week if you don’t see improvement yet. We even put the juice in more water once and used the long water fight squirting tubes to get it in a super fast pig’s eye. It worked.

a strong tea of calendula and chamomile sprayed into the eye several times daily can help.

The Eye Wash formula on slide 6 works well too:

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
