My grandson is “diagnosed” with ADHD and they want to put him on meds. The doctor will consider alternative meds and is asking what would be the protocol. I know diet is important, but what other plant medicine have people found works well with ADHD? I have some ideas but really want to hear from other’s experience (and Doc if possible :>)

Hello, would calming or yin herbs seem to work?  Also the nervine tonic ones to relax the nervous system.  I’m thinking lemon balm, echinacea, oatstraw, and St. John’s wort.  I have in my notes that oatstraw “unwinds” and St. John’s stimulates to make you use serotonin more effectively.

The thoughts were from my notes in the first module on lingo.  Best thing might be ask your Dr. what they are thinking as they suggested it.
