StudentLet me first say that I have loved this course!!! I’m 90% done and honestly already thinking about how I will miss it! But that brings me to my question: Where to go from here in the herbal world?
I’ve done this course right out of high school as I felt like it was very essential information to learn especially as the world gets even crazier. I was actually planning to be a vet tech so this also appealed given the animal aspect of the course. But now I’ve discovered that I really love herbal medicine and would love to do a little more training in it. Right now I feel that I have a good understanding of the herbal basics, but not enough knowledge to seriously help people. I still feel a little scared to use herbs on people unless they are ones I’ve used many times before and have researched that particular herb. But I know if I don’t use this information, I’ll lose it! So I am wondering where people go from here–at the end of this course, but the beginning of my herbal journey. Are there more courses? Internships? Or ways to work remotely for an herbalist and observe how they go about helping people?
I’m grateful for the learning I’ve done here and don’t want to lose that knowledge! Instead, I want to keep growing in this field and rubbing shoulders with those who are ahead of me.

StudentElena, Good for you! Bravo Girl! I wish I would have found something like this when I was your age. You have your whole life ahead of you! Cant wait for Doc’s answer to you. Keep learning and keep growing in knowledge. I hope one of his ideas is to team up with someone of like mind so the two of you can brainstorm. There is a lot of need out there! (They just dont know it yet)

Homestead InstructorHe Elena,
In January I’m going to start doing live Zoom meetings where we discuss real cases. That’ll give you some real perspective on how all of this can work. :0)

StudentIf I recall there are 3 recordings of cases? Â I also just finished and feel like I need an internship to walk along side someone to better learn how to use what I know.

Homestead InstructorHi Wanda,
We are setting up a program for taking on interns. We’ll start next spring so folks can come up and hang out with us for a week. I also need to do some Zoom Q&A sessions for students.
We are launching two new schools as well. One is on emergency assessment and treatment and the other is on auricular therapy.
