I am brand new here and thrilled to learn today that yellow, pink and red are equal to white in medicinal value.  I have a couple of large clumps of yellow (gold) already going.  How easily will it accept being dug out and transplanted and when should I move it for best chance of success?

          Hi Cali,

Yarrow transplants well in my experience. I’ve moved / divided yarrow in the spring (Michigan, zone 6b) when it’s dormant or when it has 2-3 inches of growth above the ground without issue.

Hi Cali, I have had best success doing what Geneva has said.  I always transplant now while the plant is dormant or waking up in the spring (Ontario, Canada).  Careful where you plant it, I’ve found it will startle you with how it will start to take over. This takes years and year though.one year just a few plants and a few years later dozens and dozens and dozens. Side note, Yarrow really likes to be talked to when tending it 🙂  As Doc says say nice things 🙂
