StudentI have a 20 month old GSD who is scratching a lot and had a hot spot between her shoulders. I used medical grade Manuka honey to clear up the hot spot but she continues to scratch a lot. She is on flea/tick treatment and I do not see any evidence of dry or irritated skin. I have her on a raw diet and have changed her protein to turkey instead of chicken and beef but at 2 weeks of doing this I do not see any improvement. Any suggestions ??

StudentWe have a GSD and feed him purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach dog food large breed and always stay away from chicken. He had hot spots too, so we supplement with 100 percent omega 3 fish oil for dogs/cats – squirt on food am/pm. And Zesty paws allergy relief. This combination works for him.

StudentI don’t have dogs, but my parents do and our remedy has worked wonders on their hot spots. They have two Golden Retrievers and we had made a Tallow Balm infused with Calendula, Lavender, and Comfrey. By the way, this helps heal every skin issue I have tried it on so far, eczema, dry hands, etc. So their dogs would get hot spots, my parents would apply this balm often, and it would clear up fairly quickly. Just gotta make sure the dogs don’t lick it off because they like the taste of the tallow

StudentI made a balm with Comfrey, Yarrow, Beebalm, Usnea and Plantain, that seems to do the trick

StudentMy cat Simon was scratching a lot and had many hot spots and was licking his tummy and feet a lot. I put a Turmeric tincture in his raw food and all of the hot spots disappeared and he stopped scratching.
