I am seeking plant books that help one to identify plants out in the wild.  Do you have a favorite book?

        Thank you advance, Gail

          Hi Gail,

I have two books that I use. The book that I use most often is “Peterson Field Guide To Medicinal Plants & Herbs Of Eastern & Central N. America: Third Edition” by Steven Foster and James A. Duke. The other one is “Midwest Medicinal Plants: Identify, Harvest, and Use 109 Wild Herbs for Health and Wellness” by Lisa M. Rose.

The Peterson field guide is my favorite of the two. 🙂

                  Hi Teresa,

You can find a book in the series from The Peterson Field Guide that is for your area. If I recall correctly, Lisa Rose also has a book that covers your area. You might want to do a quick search to double check on the Lisa Rose book.

I’ve found this book to be really helpful for identifying plants – Free Food and Medicine Worldwide Edible Plant Guide. https://www.markusproducts.com/shop/books/printed-books/edible-plant-guide.html
