Our dog has been blessed with 8 years of wonderful heath. 3-4 months ago he started getting sores on his back. They start as red areas that can raise up & then form scabs. They don’t seem to bother him but it has been continuing up his back along the spinal area. His holistic vet treated him with ozone & gave me an ozone salve to put on him daily and some Alleplex tablets to give him 2x/day. She also said I could put colloidal silver on the sores. She thought he may be developing allergies or she said poodles are prone to developing a virus on the skin that can cause these sores. It seems to help but last weekend we went out of town and the dogs back looked much better. The morning after we returned the red patches started appearing again. Our home has been going through mold remediation & reconstruction on one section of the house during this time.”They” said we are safe in the home but have kept the windows open & tried to stay outside as much as possible & have air filters in the rooms we sleep in. Im wondering if he has been our canary in the coal mine. All of this can be making it worse but I think he had a sore (which at the time I thought it was a cut on his back) when we returned to this home to find the water issue from our summer away. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Thank you in advance.
