SUZANNE
StudentHello to all!
Can someone please provide advice as to what can help my son. He is starting to have bruises on his legs. He eats an extremely clean diet. He has MTHFR gene and is fighting a systemic candida issue ( has had this for 15 years). He is getting better (no thanks to the conventional medical community-they just made it worse years ago with all the meds he was taking etc) but too much Vit C makes him sick. I am trying to find some herbs that will help him with the bruising. Thank you for your replies.

StudentI know arnica topically helps bruising, but for everyone who reads, remember that arnica is poison if you eat….so don’t do that

StudentThis is very strange. Opened a very old box of Arnica (from a friend) and was going to tincture the contents. Come to find out, the “picture” directions say to make it into a tea. Looked again at the directions thinking they mean to use the tea as a poultice type application. Then saw also that honey is added to it as well as ice cubes if so desired. The box is from Mexico. So, do they drink arnica in Mexico? I know your not suppose to take it internally, but, this has me stumped. The companies name is: “Therbal” and everything else on the box is in Spanish.
Edited to add: I looked this company up online and they still sell Arnica as a tea. I could also read the instructions in English. The reviews state that some use it as a coffee substitute. Others say it helps liver function. It also helps to bring down swelling. This is all new to me. Can anyone verify the use of arnica internally? I am shocked? (there are over 500 reviews!)
Please do not take internally at this time.

StudentYes Arnica does have a history of being used internally. One book I had said to take some to help with angina pain. Taking arnica internally is too risky imo, there are other herbs that do the same things and are safer

StudentYes Arnica is really good ! I buy it as a gel and it works great. Traumell , Aloe Vera ,Yarrow, and Comfrey are great as well to use. Hope your son’s bruises go away soon and that you can find a solution ! 💕

StudentHi Suzanne,
I’ve dealt with bruising easily all my life. One doctor, years ago, advised that I take “rutin” as a vitamin supplement to strengthen capillaries. In researching, discovered “rutin” is a bioflavinoid and can be found in foods like buckwheat. Its also it the herb “Viola tricolor” (aka Heartsease/Johnny Jump-Up) aerial parts. Probably in others as well.
