In a couple of weeks I am going to have total knee replacement. Bone on bone is pretty painful. So any suggestions as I prepare for surgery? And how about wound care after the surgery? What can I put on the wound and what is better internally?

That does sound pretty painful, glad you can get that taken care of soon! One thing Doc always says is to not take any herbs a week or two leading up to the surgery as they can interact with some of the things the doctors do during surgery. I imagine Hops topically would be fine for the pain though, but that’s just a guess. After the surgery though, you’ll want to make sure that any herbs you take do not interfere with any medication they prescribe you. For herbs though I would look at Calendula and Comfrey for healing

Comfrey helps things heal faster.  Rest Easy formula topically for pain.  Arnica, sprayed on, for joint pain.  If it’s cartilage that needs repair, echinacea helps cartilage heal better and faster per Doc.
