Hello, I’m early in the modules and perhaps it’s in the modules ahead, but I would like to know if there’s a good rule of thumb to use when considering the “best method” to use when preparing/extracting herbs… certainly they’re all not suited for every method.
I recall Doc saying inulin (the good fiber for your gut) does not make it through the tincturing process, so burdock root would be better as a powder than a tincture if you’re looking for it’s probiotic effects. That’s the only thing I recall that you want to avoid tincturing, I think everything else is good to go but I could be wrong
Thanks Greg for your comment, I appreciate it. I also believe I read in one of my herbal books that mucilaginous herbs do much better in a cold infusion, leaving the mucilage intact. These are the types of information I’m looking for, that I’m sure would be helpful for all. 🙂
