I recently found out I have subclinical hypothroidism, meaning it’s not low enough to be diagnosed as hypothyroidism, but it’s a little lower than normal. My question now is what herbs I can take…do I consider myself a person with an autoimmune condition? I know certain herbs shouldn’t be taken with autoimmune diseases (ex. Immune boosting), but does my subclinical hypothroidism put me in that category? I hope someone had some input because I am at a loss on which direction I need to go.

Subclinical hypothyroidism isn’t necessarily an autoimmune issue. Talk to your doctor about whether he/she thinks there are autoimmune issues causing it.

The Thyroid Stim formula often helps.

          Endocrine Formulas

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Doc, if someone is on a compound T3/T4 hormone therapy, and they want to try the Thyroid Stim Formula how long should they go off of meds before starting herbal treatment? Also, would this work for those who are diagnosed of having Hypothyroidism?
