I wish I could believe in iridology. I’ve had it done on myself and my wife by one of the biggest names in the field. He gave us a thorough comprehensive exam and report that had no valid diagnoses or useful information at all so far as I could tell. Michael Tierra (a well regarded herbalist and disciple of John Christopher) had an iridologist come to his practice and do iridology on all of his cases for a long time. They bought all kinds of fancy cameras and equipment and were really excited. When they looked at the data they didn’t see any correlations whatsoever between the iridology findings and what was actually going on with the patients/clients and were both really disappointed because they wanted to believe it.
I really would love to believe it. I’ve just never seen any data showing any correlations to reality unlike the mountains of data they have on herbs, auriculotherapy, acupuncture and other modalities. If someone can direct me to any conclusive evidence I’d be delighted to be wrong. I really like looking at eyes. They taught us how to do it in naturopath school.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
