Hello Everyone! I’ve been dabbling in herbal medicine in one way, shape, or form for over 25 years (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) Before we moved here to the mountains of western Virgina, we lived on a 1/4 acre plot in a suburban neighborhood. At that time, our property was shaded with trees except for the paved driveway. So I began growing herbs in 5 gallon buckets that lived on the driveway. I recollect that one bucket held stinging nettle that mysteriously disappeared–I’m sure I have one of my sons to blame!
Now we live on 12 acres, and although our land is mostly wooded, there’s plenty that’s open where we grow a fairly extensive vegetable garden and I also grow lots of herbs.
I’ve taken various herbal courses over the years, but the past few years I slacked off from my herbal activities, instead pursuing other interests. Recently, I’ve felt impressed that I really need to get back to studying herbs and learning more how to use them. I love Dr. Jones humor and the fun way that he teaches and so here I am, learning, growing and working with the plants again.
