Don’t know about bee balm for this – but from what I hear, plantain rocks for this type thing.

Plantain is great. I’ve heard yarrow is quite good but haven’t tried it. Native Americans used ground bee balm leaf for stings. I haven’t tried that one either.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Don’t know where you are from but here on the east coast we use jewelweed. It works almost immediately.

I have used yarrow for stings and it does work well. It’s even better if you use plantain and yarrow together.

I make a poultice of ground up plantain leaves, lavender bud (if ive got any growing), bentonite clay and sometimes activated charcoal (i keep a bottle in my cupboard and just break open a capsule). Mix it all with a little water and make a paste. Spread the paste onto the area stung, place a piece of gauze over and wrap it up to keep in place. Works so nice! Also, if your out and about and dont have all that, but ca. Find plantain, then give it a good chew to grind it and then place it on the sting area, wrap it with whatever you’ve got (ive used a hankerchief). Plantain is awesome

My 5 year old granddaughter got stung by something at the park this weekend (maybe Yellowjacket?) I quickly found a plantain leaf, chewed it up, put in on the sting.  Within minutes it stopped hurting and by morning you couldn’t even see where she had been stung!
