Does anyone know if there is an herb that kills or combats the norovirus?  It’s a bad one. I’ve heard it’s one of the top worst in the world.  Apparently the incubation is days and then the person is contagious for two weeks. It makes  you vomit and diarrhea is bad! And you get dehydrated very quickly, and end up in the ER. It’s been going around the western United States. If anyone knows any herbs to combat this or help prevent it, or even the worst of it, I’d sure appreciate a quick response. I’m pretty sure I’ve been exposed to it by a family member.

        Thanks in advance!

Hope that you dodged this, Annett – my MIL has had a difficult 2 months recovering.  Early action could be to imitate a fever- hot shower, hot tea, piles of blankets, or sauna etc.  Burn off a virus before it settles in.  Look through the lower digestion unit 2 for information on managing stomach flu symptoms.  Peppermint, yarrow, ginger- all the good stuff is there.  If a virus has gotten to me, there’s usually zero interest in food, but fasting actually helps the body destroy viral proteins.  Sipping small amounts of your preferred liquid/tea/tincture helps maintain hydration without giving the stomach too much to revolt against.  Be well!
