Maria Mercer
StudentHello, My name is Maria and I have been aspiring to find a beautiful course like such for many years now. I was always away from the home looking at bugs and counting leaves on plants. Nature is my peace and I hope this course provides me enough inspiration to finally make a living doing what I love and learning more and more about the natural world. What A GIFT we have been given to have such a beautiful planet with life in all forms from country to sea. I am a Maryland BORN Arkansan(currently – though subject to maybe change soon)! What can I say? If I had to explain that better, I would say I am more the Appalachian Marylander than Coastal or Capital, but being away from my blue crabs (and the Cherry Blossom Festival) has been a tough go, though I love my new Ozark mountain home. I grew up with a fondness of nature and a great passion for protecting our watersheds, national parks and overall the many lifeforms in such a weird little state for geography and biodiversity! In the coming months, My husband and I aspire to move more towards southern Missouri as currently residing in the city right now has made us both a bit more homesick I would say though it is quite beautiful here. We aspire to have a small property in Missouri in which I can garden and maybe keep some livestock and so that he can forge! My mother in law recently went to a homesteading conference and sat in on a lecture by Dr.Jones! When she returned home, she suggested I look and see if the course was something I was interested in and I will say im usually a skeptic. I was hesitant at first, but seeing how comprehensive and complete the course materials are I couldn’t resist. My mother in law blessed me with a late mothers day present of this course and so far I am more than impressed. We treated recently my husbands headache with a tincture she brought from Dr.Jones collection and his relief was surely a bit quicker than any Tylenol I had given. I dare say that it was greatly effective and long lasting for him. I really wish I could remember now what the exact kit was, but I was absolutely convinced of his knowledge set looking at all of the beautifully crafted and cultivated creations to help a fairly wide variety of ailments and icks. I am so excited to be here and join the community of healers from all sanctions of life, from many parts of the world learn, grow and help share the load with herbal medicine. I have read a few herbology books in my life and recently watched Dr. Jones plant monograph on Symphytum officinale (Comfrey). I adore his humor and accent. I found the live webinar free and available to me on youtube- following I called up the mother in law, expressed my love for how he teaches and the way he explains things I can truly absorb! Hands down this has to be the most impressive program I have seen yet and the fact its a lifetime access, ever growing community has me feeling even more excited! Thank you for having me! I hope to help the world around me, both the environment, the humans and the animals with this helpful course. Wish me luck in my endeavors y’all!
