My brother has been treating a itching and infected skin condition in his Rottweiler with cephalexin. The first time, the dog seemed to develop a problem which made him move extremely slow….like his brain and limbs weren’t communicating well. The vet said it was unrelated to the antibiotic cephalexin.  The dog recovered. It has now happened again with the same drug, only now it seems worse. The vet doesn’t think cephalexin is the problem, but it only happens when the dog is on it. Does anyone know anything about cephalexin causing such issues? Anyone have any suggestions as how to help this dog?
