Hey Doc, when you say sprinkle a few seeds of alfalfa on food (to reduce blood sugar) are you talking about a whole teaspoon dose?  Or does it take less alfalfa seeds to do the trick? If so, could you give an amount estimate? Thanks.

I’d do a teaspoon or two. Don’t use alfalfa in cases of autoimmune disease.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Thanks for adding on don’t use in case of autoimmune disease. That’s helpful. What’s the issue there?

Alfalfa contains a compound called L-Canavanine that may interact with immune-modulating processes and may aggravate autoimmune conditions.

There isn’t tons of research on it, but if I had autoimmune disease alfalfa wouldn’t be part of my daily herb use.
