This looks to be a good source of “do’s and don’ts” for the anti-candida diet: mainechi.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/anti-candida-diet.pdf. I hope it’s ok to post this here to get opinions from other students and Doc.  Some of us just do better with a complete and detailed list LOL!  Thoughts from others on this?

It did have on the no-no list all fermented beverages and tinctures, cough syrups and other medications.  OUCH on the tinctures!  That part is definitely troubling.

The approval of grains (and the approved list offered) is not dis-similar to approving cotton candy and show cones. Simple carbs are simple carbs. Short term avoidance of any of them is a good idea to starve Candida.

Also, the prohibition on tinctures is silly. Not enough alcohol there to be dietarily significant.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Thanks Doc.  The appeal of that list was mostly because it spelled out exactly (in their opinion anyway) what was allowed and not allowed.  Hubby and I both are still having fits trying to stick various foods in one camp or the other.  I just wish I could find a Doc Jones approved complete list – and I’ll bet my baked potato that I can’t have – that others would love that list also!
