        Arnica fascinates me.

My arnica planting failed so, not wanting to do without, I bought some dried flowers and tinctured them.

I followed Doc’s video and rubbed the tincture on my triceps (that I ripped up last Nov) which occasionally aches and got relief.

I used it on my tired hands and arms after a long guitar/mandolin jam and – relief.

On my lower back after a lot of weed pulling….

It’s being used regularly now that I see how useful it is to me.

        I love the stuff.

I bought more flowers. I’m not gonna run out of tincture, by gum.

I’m thinking of making lotion with it too. Maybe adding comfrey and calendula.

        Is that done?

Renee, my wife, has had success recently as well. She whacked her ankle with a rake. It left a welt and a forming bruise. We applied arnica liniment, covered with some plastic film and held it in place with a sock. She mentioned how WARM it was getting. The next day the only discomfort was the small area where the rake actually contacted and it was minor.

A more interesting lotion for pain would be Arnica, chamomile and St. John’s wort with a pinch of cayenne. Quick…Someone write that down. 🙂

                Oooh….intriguing.

Break that down for me….. I wanna understand the thinking.

Arnica for the muscles and joints because of (Insert answer here)

Chamomile for its (insert action here)

St. John’s wort for the nervine properties (?)

And can I use literally a pinch of powdered cayenne or must it be infused/tinctured?

                Thanks.

Arnica is for the swelling and inflammation. Adds a bit of heat as well. Helps to improve the circulation. Cayenne (any form you want) helps with the circulation as well. Wakes things up. I am guessing here but chamomile and sjw help with the pain and nerve issues to calm things down.

Chamomile and St/ John’s are both nervines that are good for pain as nerve sedatives.
