        Hi Fellow Students,

I am lazy, looking out at a hill with a plethora of Arrowleaf Balsamroot and I just can’t imagine trying to dig up and cut a 30′ x 8″ root (even 6 inches deep would be a drag).  I’m a noodle armed XX chromosome.  Has anyone ever read anywhere that there might be medicinal properties in the aerial parts?  Also, to dig it up, since I know I will… do I need to bring a saw along to harvest it from the ground, not joking.

Native Americans used the crushed leaf for wounds and skin irritations. I’ve not heard of other uses for the aerial parts. I’d just tell theme they’re pretty and enjoy them. :0)

I have harvested and used the root. It’s a great herb but there are others that do what is does for vastly less work. LOL

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
