Hi Doc Jones.  You mentioned no one sells tuning forks that are shaved on the end to help with auricular therapy.  Do you sell these?  If not, how do we know how to sand them down to the right point?  If you don’t sell them, is there somewhere else I can go to get them?  Thanks.

I too am ‘chomping at the bit’ to get my hands on a tuning fork and a glass probe for being able to use them from what I am learning in the auricular therapy course. When will these be available to purchase? Plus, I have already gone through everything available in that course and am waiting for more to be uploaded. Thanks Dr. Jones and Dr. Adamson for your knowledge and help.

We are working with a good source and will have probes and tuning forks for sale soon. In the mean time, if you have a belt sander, you can just refine the tip until it’s like a very, very dull pencil. The end surface being about 2mm.

The latest videos in the Auricular Therapy course of Doc Adamson actually doing the tuning forks on several people was super helpful to me. I loved seeing how he did it and since I’m visual, it was so nice to see it in real time. Thank you! I already received my tuning fork in the mail and am ready to try it out on my family!

I pulled out the belt sander and experimented with the tip. Worked out great!

I did this with a belt sander with no issues. Went pretty “smoothly”…. hahaha

I have received my tuning fork – I would like to get a glass tool, as well.  Will you be offering them in your store soon?

Also, I have a few questions pertaining to using the fork:

                      1. How do you check/adjust the frequency of the tuning fork?
                      2. How do you know what frequency to use?  In the Demos & Tool Practice video, the Ohm 136 hz is mentioned.  The tuning fork I received is the C 128 hz.
                      3. Is it ok to use aricular therapy on someone who has a pacemaker?  Or a broken bone/fracture?

Really enjoying the course!  Have also completed all the classes uploaded so far – anxious to delve into what’s left and complete the course!

You can search and get a free tuning meter on a phone or tablet.   The tuning forks have round weights at the ends.  Find an Allen wrench that will fit into the round center and loosen the the weight.  It will change the frequency as you move it up or down by very small increments. Then tighten the weight.   I changed a 128 to 136 this way.

The Docs do say this is safe for someone with a pacemaker. I wouldn’t anticipate a problem applying a tuning fork to the ear of someone with a broken bone.  I have read of using tuning forks to determine if a bone is broken by taking two tuning forks and placing them on either side of the suspected break.  If the pain level stays same there’s no break.  If the pain increases (due to asynchronous vibrations) the bone is broken.  Only read it, never had to try.
