Hi guys, I am new here and a question I have been wanting to ask for ages is:

The bites and stings formula, in regard snake bites, will this be effective for Australian snakes as well? Specifically the Brown and Red Belly Black? Thanks Emma

          Hi Emma,

That’s a great question. In that formula, I’m thinking the plantain would be good for any type of snake bite as it just helps the body by pulling out the toxins in the venom. The dandelion root I think helps the liver and/or kidneys remove the toxins from the body faster which would also be good no matter what. The marshmallow root is soothing to the tissue and helps it recover faster so that should be good for all bites as well.  The echinacea and/or black-eyed susan have a property that specifically keeps the snake’s venom from deteriorating the hyaluronic acid in the tissue (which is what causes the tissue in that are to just die and deteriorate). As long as the venom of those snakes works in the same way as US snakes (by damaging the hyaluronic acid and thus deteriorating the tissue), then it would work on your Australian snakes as well from what I can tell.

Both of those snakes are in the Elapidae family.

The Venom & Sting Formula is most effective against pit vipe bites but I would certainly use it on any other venomous bite as well using the same protocol here:
