It’s been said that some essential oils will break down plastics. So I’m wondering….
Will some herbs or the alcohol used to preserve them break down the PLASTIC droppers in the dropper bottles that are often used to store tinctures?

That would depend entirely on the makeup of the plastic. There are TONS of different compound and one would need to know the specific one to determine if it is stable or not. I would HOPE that the droppers in the commercial products would have been selected appropriately.
