I heard it mentioned at the last HGH conference I attended that broccoli is also an herbal medicine. Does anyone know in what way this is accurate?  Thanks!

There’s a lesson on Food Therapy that has brief discussions of various foods. They are a big part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the old days they were much better than they are currently with all of the selevitve breeding to eliminate bitter medicinal constituents.

Broccoli contains sulforaphane and glucosinates that can have some anti-cancer effects. It’s also full of vitamins, mineral and fiber all of which have good ebnefits for various systems.

A lot of its benefits are due to high antioxidant levels.

          Principles Of Food Therapy

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
