Do you know much about burning mouth syndrome?  At least that is what I think it is.  Symptoms are a burning feeling in the mouth and lips like I drank something hot, a very strong metallic taste and a food and drinks taste bitter.  Some info leans towards a magnesium deficiency, so I’ve tried supplements, but it still keeps coming back, hangs around for a couple months then goes away for awhile.  It’s a real bummer at this time of year when all those holiday goodies taste horrible.

I’ve never addressed that and modern medicine has no idea what causes it and offers no treatment.

I’d be interested in three different experiments:

First try a strong nervine like skullcap or valerian (or the Rest Easy Formula) or hops. Mix it with a little water and swish it in the mouth and see if it turns anything off.

After you’ve tried that, try taking teasel internally for a week or two and see what that does. Teasel has a remarkable ability to re-boot confused nerves that are doing dumb things for no reason (that’s the scientific explanation). Watch my teasel video in the Individual plants section.

If none of those things make a change, contact Sharik Peck, inventor of the Rezzimax Tuner and see if he’s done anything with that issue. The Tuner is also good at re-setting nerve issues so that they’re return to normal function.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
