Can I add to PaneAway?

Doc,

the Valerian in PaneAway is so smelly, I was wondering if it would be harmful to add Lemon peel to it while making a tincture?  I know Lemon has some acidity to it, would it harm the recipe to add it?  I put Lemon essential oil in the Tincture after its finished but this would be less expensive to make it with the fresh lemon peel as long as it wouldn’t harm the recipe?

Dry lemon peel won’t hurt but I don’t know that it’ll overcome the valerian odor. It’d be easier to swap out hops for the valerian. That’d work well too.
