It is my understanding it can. Here is the latin name and it should have similar properties. Salix caprea. I hope this is correct and can help you.

Yup. Salix plants are usually very similar medicinally.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
