        I have a 4 year old lab/pitt diagnosed with Lymphoma by biopsy 4 months ago. He was givin 8 wks to live without treatment. We immediately started the wisconsin protocol which we stopped after his fifth treatment due to his complete lack of quaility of life. I started him on a raw diet except for meat and supplements in an effort to improve his immune function and try to beat this progressive disease naturally as best I can as follows;

        DIET

50% chicken-cooked low heat- all parts, no bones though cartilage and raw necks when attainable

        30% Broccoli, cauliflower,orange & red peppers,spinach,

        20% blueberries,banannas, oranges

        *apples & carrots in moderation

currently researching variations for meats and veggies

        SUPPLEMENTS

        prebiotics

mushroom powder blend-Reishi, shitake, mitake, cordycept, turkeytail 2 tsp bid

        green tea 1/2 cup bid

herbs 1-2 tsp- tumeric, ginger, oreganol, basil, rosemary, thyme, 1 clove GARLIC per 5 cups food

        burdock tincture bid.

        calcium citrate 600mg bid

colostrum 1500mg A.M on empty stomach

1/2 cup cottage cheese/1 tbs.flaxseed oil -mid day

Should I adjust, add too, eliminate some of the ingredients? Is garlic ok? incopporate other herbs?

ANY AND ALL REPLYS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!! THANK YOU

Garlic in excess can cause anemia in dogs. I don’t think the levels you’re using should cause a problem. Have your vet run a cbc. If the dog’s anemic, back off or discontinue the garlic.

Otherwise, the herbs and supplements you’re using look good. I assume when you say “1/2 cup of Green tea” you mean 1/2 cup of the brewed tea and not 1/2 cup of the plant.

I might add some red clover but otherwise I think you’re doing well.

Infusing your dish with magic truffles/mushroom will certainly give you a different kind of satisfaction. But not everyone can be that adventurous and has guts to experiment specially when it comes on something they eat. I came across this article about a very common dish infuse with mushroom
