At what stage in the digestive process do the capsule walls begin to release their contents into the body?

At the soonest in the stomach.

I usually hold a cap in my mouth until it at least softens and usually until I can at least feel some of the herb starting to come out.

Why?

The guy that pumped our septic tank told us that he always finds UNDISSOLVED capsules in septic systems. What a waste of money for those folks.

I can tell you that our capsules do start dissolving very quickly. Just a very small amount of moisture on our machine causes them to start and then stick in the contraption.

Dry herbs can be put into capsules. Size 00 holds ¼ tsp using a “Capsule Machine”, therefore you’d need 4 or 8 capsules of herbs per dose depending on if it’s a single herb or a formula. That’s a LOT of capsules at once.

My questions:

Why do herb formulas sold in capsules on HGH say to take only 4 capsules? Are they larger than 00? Why would medicine sold in stores in capsule form of herbs say the dose is 1 or 2 capsules when their medicine is often less potent than our homegrown herbs?

Are manufactured capsules filled with herbs able to hold more than ¼ tsp in a size 00?
